[Annie Cudlip].  English novelist, born at Aldborough, Suffolk, in 1838. Among her most popular books are Sir Victor’s Choice (1864); Denis Donne (1864); Barry O’Byrne (1865); The Honorable Jane (1892); No Hero, but a Man (1894). Her stories were principally society novels written under her maiden name of Annie Thomas. In 1867 she was married to Rev. Pender Hodge Cudlip.
