1894. Muir & Morley, Watts Dict. Chem., IV. 793. n-Tri-icosane C23H48 (melting point 48°C.) . Obtained also by fractional distillation of paraffin oil from brown coal . Glittering plates.
1902. Jrnl. Chem. Soc., LXXXII. I. 734. Pennsylvania Petroleum furnished a small proportion of a solid tricosane, C23H48, which melts at 45°.
