Biol. [Short for *traumatotropism, f. Gr. τραῦμα wound, after geotropism, heliotropism, etc.] A peculiar growth or curvature of an organism (esp. a plant) resulting from a wound. So Traumatropic a., of, pertaining to, or of the nature of traumatropism.
