E. Ind. Also tesu, tesoo, teeso, tisso. [Hindī, etc. tēsū.] The brilliant orange-red flowers of the DHAK or PALAS of India (Butea frondosa and B. superba), or the yellow dye obtained from these. Also attrib. as teesoo-flower.
