(1838).)] In tartrelic acid, soluble tartaric anhydride, C4H4O5 = C4H6O6—H2O, obtained as a yellowish deliquescent mass by quickly heating small quantities of tartaric acid. Its salts are Tartrelates. See TARTRALIC.
