sb. pl. Hist. [-IAN.] A name applied to the fifty-nine members of the House of Commons who voted against the bill for the attainder of Thomas Wentworth, earl of Strafford.
1641. Whitelocke, Mem., 2 May. This multitude posted up at Westminster the names of all those members of the house of commons who had voted for the earl, and called them Straffordians.
