1833. Chalmers, Bridgw. Treat., II. iv. 405. Atheism might plead a lack of evidence within its own field of observation. But Antitheism pronounces upon the things which are, and the things which are not within that field.
1877. Athenæum, 6 Oct., 430/2. Theism must be accepted, or another theory justifying anti-theism must be put in its place.
