A. adj. Of the Anomoura or stalk-eyed crustacea, allied to the hermit-crab; so called from the want of any regular type in the abdomen or tail.
1877. Huxley, Anat. Inv. Anim., vi. 350. The Anomuran condition passes into that of the young Brachyuran.
