A. adj. Of the Anomoura or stalk-eyed crustacea, allied to the hermit-crab; so called from the want of any regular type in the abdomen or ‘tail.’
1877. Huxley, Anat. Inv. Anim., vi. 350. The Anomuran condition passes into that of the young Brachyuran.
B. sb. A member of the Anomoura.
