1650.  Fuller, Pisgah, I. 367. The Cedar was so curiously carved with imagery of flowers, Palmes, and Cherubims, that the walls of this house seemed at the same time, a Garden of flowers, a Grove of trees, yea and a Paradise of Angels. Nor was all this flowretry, and other celature on the Cedar, lost labour, because concealed, when covered with gold.
