Min. [mod. f. Gr. ἀλλόμορφος of strange shape (f. ἄλλος other, different + μορφή form) + -ITE, min. form.] A mineral, allied to barytes or barite, of which Dana makes it a variety, having the form and cleavage of ANHYDRITE.
