[Sp.; dim. of coco coco-nut.] A palm tree, Jubæa spectabilis, a native of Chili, from the sap of which the palm-honey of the Chilians is obtained. Also Coquito nut, palm.

1866. Treas. Bot., 639/1. The Coquito Palm is very abundant in central Chili the fruit is roundish or egg-shaped, and has a thick fibrous husk, enclosing a hard one-seeded nut which has three small pores at the bottom.
