Bot. Pl. -a. [mod. L., dim. of Gr. αἰκία injury.] The cup-shaped fruit borne on the mycelium of certain parasitic fungi which especially attack the orders Compositæ, Ranunculacæ, Leguminosæ, and Labiatæ.
