Cholochrome [χρῶμα color], the general name for the coloring matters of bile; including chiefly Cholochloin or Cholochlorin, the green pigment, called also biliverdin, Cholocyanin, a blue pigment, Cholofulvin, a yellow pigment, Cholophæin, the brown pigment. Hence Cholochromic acid.
